Start the tour by picking you up from your hotel in Athens.
We’ll head towards Leonidas of Sparta & 300 monument. This monument honors King Leonidas, the leader of the 300 Spartans who fought against the Persians at the Battle of Thermopylae. After paying your respects, you’ll set off for the stunning rock formations of Meteora.
As you approach the area, you’ll be amazed by the towering rocks that rise from the plain, each one topped with a magnificent monastery. You’ll have the chance to explore this unique landscape and visit one of the monasteries to gain an understanding of the religious significance of this site.
After taking in the beauty of Meteora, you’ll continue to the town of Kalabaka, surrounded by the towering rocks. Here, you’ll visit Theopetra Cave, an archaeological site that dates back to the Upper Paleolithic era. The cave has been inhabited by humans for over 40,000 years and is a fascinating glimpse into the past.
Finally, you’ll make your way to the charming village of Kastraki, where you can relax, grab a bite to eat, or do some shopping before returning to your hotel in Athens.
